We’re so very proud to see that our colleague Frank Holloway has received his highly regarded ECS Gold Card after completion of his Installation Apprenticeship. It’s a significant moment in the career of any Electrician to be professional recognised in this way.
Frank’s been with Elmleigh since February 2019 and has had opportunity during this time to work on various projects for a variety of our clients and through some of the most testing times of times. With a wealth of skills and experience under his belt we sat down together to ask some questions about his time at Elmleigh thus far as well as some fun questions at the end;
How have you enjoyed your time at Elmleigh?
Yes, I’ve come a long way over the past few years.
What do you consider your biggest achievement at Elmleigh?
By far my greatest achievement was passing my AM2 and getting my ECS gold card
What new skills have you learnt on your journey so far?
To list a few. Reading schematics, panel building, containment, cable terminations and the tricks of the trade.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
Seeing everything completed and working at the end of a big job
How do you balance your career at Elmleigh and family/personal time?
Elmleigh is my life
How has Elmleigh helped you in your career development?
Elmleigh has helped me gain the skills necessary to pass my AM2 and become an electrician but more than that, also giving me experience in areas such as plc, electrical controls and safety.
What does a typical day for you look like?
Jobs vary greatly, but in essence get to work, take a look at the job and get it done.
