New Project Manager Luke Holland Joins the Team

February 2020

We recently welcomed Luke Holland to the Elmleigh team!

Luke Holland is our new Project Manager, seen here greeted by our Managing Director Simon Sliwinski.

Have a read to find out a little bit about Luke:

How did you get into the electrical installation industry?

It was definitely my Dad who encouraged me to get an apprenticeship. Luckily I really enjoyed the process and here I am after lots of hard work, as a new Project Manager at Elmleigh.

What was the number one reason you joined our organisation?

I really wanted to progress my career in project management and I knew a company like Elmleigh would help me to do that.

Which aspect of the job are you most excited about?

The challenge of large-scale projects really excites me. Being able to manage a project through from start to finish while working with a great team of people is going to be great. I'm definitely looking forward to getting more projects under my belt.

What qualifications have you got or are working on?

Over the years I've gained Level 3 awards in 'Initial Verification' and 'Periodic Inspection, Test and Certification' of electrical installations that complement my Level 3 'Certification in the Requirements of Electrical Installations' with City and Guilds 236 Pt 1 and 2. I've also achieved a Level 3 NVQ in 'Installing and Commissioning Electrotechnical Systems' and Level 4 2396 Design and Verification. More recently I've completed SMSTS training to demonstrate my health & safety management credentials and look forward to the new opportinuties to learn that my new employment brings.

Tell us about an average day in your role, if there is one!

Typically a day will include liaising with clients, working on tender projects, preparing documentation for projects and communicating with the installation teams. There's always a lot to be doing but it's great to be busy!

What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?

When I'm not at work I love to socialise and spend time with my family.
