On the Move: Trade Shows and News

Trade showed out

2025 has been an incredibly busy and successful year for Elmleigh ! If it feels like you’ve seen us everywhere, that’s because you have! Over September and October, our team was active at four major trade shows each focused-on sectors where Elmleigh is ready to deliver exceptional support.

We kicked things off at IMHX , the UK’s largest intra logistics trade show. Across three fantastic days, we met new faces, reconnected with colleagues, and even had the chance to meet darts legend Bobby George! Our strategic placement on the AMHSA pavilion gave us a prime location and some of the best coffee at the show.

Just two weeks later, we were back at the The NEC Campus for the PPMA Show 2025. This time, we partnered with pm Connections Ltd , a strategic collaboration that allowed visitors to explore a complete turnkey solution with full CDM compliance. A huge thank you to Stuart McCreedy for working closely with our team to make this event a success!

After a short break to follow up with new contacts, the team headed to Tomorrow’s Warehouse at Emirates Old Trafford, Lancashire Cricket Club. This hybrid conference and exhibition is the go-to event for logistics professionals looking to navigate the evolving world of modern warehousing. It was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships and showcase how Elmleigh supports clients’ goals through the integration of automated systems.

Finally, we wrapped up the season at the Dairy Industries Expo at the NAEC Stoneleigh a dedicated event for the entire dairy processing chain. From butter and yoghurt to milk and whey, this show highlighted the latest innovations and developments in the industry from process to packaging, and we were thrilled to be part of it.

Reactive critical support for Client

When peak season is around the corner, downtime isn’t an option. Recently, a leading parcel and logistics client faced a critical failure on their Bidirectional Linear Sorter conveyor system, bringing operations to a standstill. With seasonal demand looming, speed was everything.

Elmleigh’s team responded immediately. A four-person mechanical crew, supported by a control engineer, removed the damaged belt, carried out repairs, and recommissioned the system, getting the line fully operational in record time.

Fast response. Expert collaboration. Zero compromise on performance. That’s what Elmleigh delivers when it matters most.

Automate UK’s Inaugural BARA Conference at ABB Robotics UK

Martin Lewis-Stevenson and Joshua Dare had the privilege of attending the Automate UK inaugural BARA conference at ABB Robotics UK and what an incredible event it was!

The venue was outstanding, showcasing ABB’s brand throughout the entire building in a visually striking way. The speaker lineup was fantastic, starting with an introduction from Thomas Flude followed by insightful sessions from Jonathan Walker , Martin Kidman, Ph.D., and Meghna Subramani.

The panel discussion hosted by Oliver Selby was another highlight, diving deep into the concept of automating from the top down, a thought-provoking conversation for anyone in the automation space.

When machine safety is at risk, innovation matters.

A client came to Elmleigh with a critical challenge: a specialist machine was overheating during operation, creating a hazardous environment and risking product integrity. Our mission? Design ar obust solution that detects overheating in real time, simulates fire suppression systems, and safeguards both production quality and workplace safety.

Elmleigh delivered a fully integrated system powered by Power over Ethernet (PoE), supporting multiple thermal cameras and a mini-PC within a custom-built control panel. Cameras mounted on magnetic holders provide flexible, accurate temperature monitoring, while customizable thresholds trigger alarms and visual alerts to prevent costly downtime.

To overcome software incompatibility, our team developed a custom integration for seamless performance. An inbuilt HMI screen now displays all thermal feeds with zoom capabilities, enabling proactive safety management and compliance with industry standards.

Smart monitoring. Automated response. Complete peace of mind. That’s the Elmleigh difference.

Space Makers Innovation Centre

Earlier this month Darren Cornwall, Martin Lewis-Stevenson and Joshua Dare attended AMHSA Lunch & Learn at Spacemaker Systems | Warehouse Automation was nothing short of brilliant. The event showcased cutting-edge automation solutions that are shaping the future of warehousing the team were thrilled to be part of it!

A huge thank you to Brendan Shilton and Chris Hopkirk for hosting and giving us the chance to experience your impressive Innovation Centre firsthand. Seeing live demonstrations of advanced automation technology was a real highlight, true innovation at work!

It was also a proud moment for Elmleigh, as we spotted our control panels in action, having provided installation support for this incredible project. The seamless integration of hardware and software really shows what collaboration can achieve.

Leadec: the future of collaboration

We thought our trade show season was over, but we were wrong! Elmleigh had the privilege of attending the Leadec UK networking show at Coventry Rugby Club a fantastic opportunity to connect with the people who make Leadec the powerhouse it is.

One of the highlights was hearing Simone Hindmarch, MD of Commercial Group, share their inspiring journey to becoming part of the top 1% on ecovardis. Her story of turning challenges into growth was truly motivating.

The event also gave Elmleigh valuable time to network with Leadec ’s key UK customers and explore exciting opportunities for future collaboration. It was great to meet other partners supporting Leadec, including Biffa , E.ON , Envira , Gateley , Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. and Pertemps Network Group seeing the scale of Leadec’s ecosystem firsthand was impressive.

A big thank you to Tony Hampson for hosting such a great day, and to Lee Race , Claire Gathercole, BSc, ACMA, CGMA , Sally Thomas and Andy Bowers for their support throughout the event.
