Contracted by a UK based conveyor manufacturer, Elmleigh supplied control panels, software, installation and commissioning for two 12,000 units per hour parcel sortation conveyors configured to work side by side with the ability to cross feed parcels across the two conveyors along with integrated telescopic unload conveyors.
Safety integration of the two conveyor systems into one global safety and emergency stop system was a primary criteria along with the facility to fine tune the feed to the manual sorting positions. A fully decentralised system was delivered featuring Siemen's variable speed drives and remote I/O along with software, visualisation and remote connectivity for diagnostics.
