New Project Engineer Terence Begnor

February 2020

We welcomed Terence Begnor to the Elmleigh team recently!

Terence is our new Project Engineer, who is seen here with our Managing Director, Simon Sliwinski.

Carry on reading to find out about what makes Terence tick!

How did you get into the industry?

I started a mechanical apprenticeship straight from school after trying out a job in banking with an office desk job that didn’t feel quite right. I definitely need to spend my time on my feet and meeting people.

What was the number one reason you joined our organisation?

I bought into Elmleigh’s vision for the future as it mirrored my aspirations and goals as an engineer, along with a job I have enjoyed for 34 years.

Which aspect of the job are you most excited about?

Continuing to work with customers to find cost-effective project engineering solutions and deliver start-to-finish works to their satisfaction, which I have always attempted to do along with all other day-to-day challenges.

What qualifications have you got or are working on?

City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship along with a HND in Business and Finance.

I am currently not working towards anything but am always looking to better myself academically and hopefully will in the near future within Elmleigh.

Tell us about an average day in your role, if there is one!

Working with customers to find and deliver start-to-finish cost-effective solutions! I thoroughly enjoy the daily challenges of working with customers and assisting with finding solutions to their problems.

What’s your favourite thing to do outside of work?

I love spending time with my family, especially watching my twin daughters riding or cheerleading as well as watching football and rugby, socialising and snowboarding. I always love to keep busy!
