Glenn Gibbs Joins Elmleigh as a Lead Electrician

Celebrating our new employees is something we love doing at Elmleigh, not least because of the skills and experiences they bring to our team! We sat down with Lead Electrician Glenn Gibbs to find out more about him and welcome him to the group.

Elmleigh are always looking for talented and passionate people; what is something that you are passionate about?

I am passionate about building good relationships with clients and within the team, and ensuring the job is done right.

 

Why did you choose to work at Elmleigh?

I wanted a job more local and had heard Elmleigh were a great company to work for from a colleague. After checking out their website and looking at projects they were involved in, I knew I wanted to work for them. I’m excited to learn more about control systems in the food process & packaging industry.

 

What industry-relevant skill(s) do you excel at?

Being thorough and paying attention to detail.

 

Name a mistake you made early in your career and what has it taught you

I was too nervous to ask for help when I needed it, which led to a much bigger issue than it otherwise would have been. It taught me to not be afraid to ask for help.

 

What professional achievement are you most proud of?

Joint between my undergraduate degree and my 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.

 

How would you describe your job to a five-year-old?

Connecting wires to make power.

 

What is your favourite thing about working in your chosen job role?

Meeting new people, learning about new sites/equipment, and facing new challenges every day.
