The Challenge
Based in Herefordshire, an international cider producer was in the process of expanding their production facility. They required the professional electrical installation of an advanced central mains and LV distribution system alongside LED lighting, cable containment, control system wiring, and control panel connections.
The project required a fast turnaround from quotation through to the onsite deployment of technicians, working alongside the main contractor prior to the full completion of the building, ensuring all timelines were maintained and the project was delivered on schedule. With an aggressive time plan, a mixture of internal and external activities, and a fully operational production facility to contend with, we knew this project would be a challenge!
The Solution
In accepting the project, Elmleigh agreed to uphold several stringent and unique, site-specific standards with the client to work within that were over and above usual industry regulations. Working closely with the main contractor, we ensured all bespoke elements of the electrical installation complied with the client’s needs, whilst maintaining compliance with the industry regulations across all aspects of design and installation.
Our highly skilled technicians, who understand the importance of quality, and thrive on working to challenging schedules determined through our meticulous Project Management, were deployed to deliver a mix of bespoke stainless-steel constructed cable management and standard galvanised components to fit the complex installation requirement.
We also installed a full mains distribution system, a purpose-made central LV distribution system and cabled out to remote areas of the factory for sub-distribution, before moving onto the plant and machinery element. The project tested all of our core skills and showcases our ability to deliver a full turnkey solution.
The Outcome
With the project still in-progress, it’s too early to comment fully on the plant and machinery element, but keep an eye out for our future updates on this exciting project! So far, the client has been extremely happy with the professionalism of our approach, and our teams ability to work quickly and efficiently within an operational manufacturing site.
